What has motivated you to excel over the course of your career?

Particularly early in my career, providing for my family and making sure they received excellent education, were happy, safe and healthy was and is a primary motivation for my success. Another major motivation has been the ability to make a positive difference in health care through the great work and value we provide to our clients. Lastly, I get great satisfaction out of helping younger team members succeed and progress their careers.

What has been the biggest factor in your success so far?

The ability to provide sound direction and motivate highly talented individuals to work collectively as a team.

What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?

The incredible value we have provided to so many health care organizations over the past 40 years at 2 firms that totals in the billions of dollars, helping to improve health care access, affordability and improved clinical outcomes.

What is your proudest achievement to date?

Promoting over 100 talented, dedicated teammates to leadership positions over the course of my career.

What's the best advice you've ever been given?

Always stay engaged with clients so you know what is important to them and are not entirely reliant on others to tell you. Do not blame others for your mistakes and lack of preparation. Always look in the mirror first and figure out what you could do better when things do not go your way.

What does this recognition mean to you?

A great deal as I view it as recognition of the great success we have had as a team at Huron in health care and overall.
