Girish is a VP within Cognizant Consulting, leading the consulting practice for the Retail, Consumer Goods, Travel &Hospitality, Manufacturing and Logistics industry verticals in the Americas.

Girish is an experienced professional with deep subject matter expertise in several functional areas. In a career spanning over 28+ years, he has handled key leadership roles in the industry as well as in the consulting world across North America, Middle East and Asia. He joined Cognizant in 2008 and over the years led large transformational advisory programs for some of the world's largest companies. Prior to Cognizant, Girish worked with leading multinational firms like PepsiCo, Marico and Manhattan Associates. In recent years he has built a strong consulting practice helping customers adapt to the rapid changes driven by the new digital economy. He has been working with customers on transformational programs in the area of Omni channel commerce, customer experience, supply chain, etc. He is a thought leader having presented at several leading industry conferences and published articles with leading publications.

Girish has completed his postgraduate program in Manufacturing Management from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai and bachelor's in Metallurgical engineering from the University of Pune, India.
