The 2024 Leaders in Technology Consulting: Jessica Powell

As Managing Director for Accenture Federal Services, Jessica serves as the Client Account Lead for the Internal Revenue Service, one of the largest accounts at AFS. The IRS is in a state of transition, expanding its scope of services, incorporating advanced technology and developing more accessible, customer-friendly online services to help taxpayers navigate the system.

Her mission is driving modernization for the agency and using her experience, management skill and all the resources at my disposal to achieve the best outcomes. Her team has been instrumental in supporting the agencies critical social benefits for COVID relief such as Economic Impact Payments and Child Tax Credits, two legislative implementations that needed to be implemented in record time to provide much needed help to taxpayers.

In shaping high-level operating strategies and building a top-tier AFS staff, she brings a team-oriented approach to job development and performance, in addition to client service. She cares less about who scored the goal, more so who got the assist. It's enabled us to achieve maximum success in serving not only the IRS but the many tens of millions of Americans who depend on what we do.
