The 2024 Rising Stars of the Profession: Grace Steinwurtzel

Grace Steinwurtzel is a Senior Consultant within FTI Consulting's Data & Analytics practice. Her work concentrates on the extraction and analysis of large volumes of structured and unstructured data to produce data-driven strategic insight for attorneys and clients spanning multiple industries. She has worked across a variety of technical concentrations, including asset tracing and recovery, regulatory due diligence and data privacy safeguards.

Ms. Steinwurtzel has built automated solutions to assess historical compliance with various regulations and aid clients in preparation for compliance audits. Leveraging relational database functionality, data visualization software and custom-developed tools, she has constructed and maintained data pipelines to enable clients to efficiently and accurately review relevant data and develop quantitative methodologies to assess regulatory risk. This includes working with business stakeholders to gain necessary access to clients' systems, designing processes to enhance visibility across disparate data sources and successfully transitioning such process ownership to clients.

Additionally, Ms. Steinwurtzel has aided in the development and execution of testing methods to support financial fraud investigations, including analyzing trading patterns and anomalous wire transfer activity to identify data characteristics indicative of suspicious activity and potentially fraudulent behavior. She holds a B.A. from Emory University.
