FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) has announced the appointment of Scott Margolis as a Managing Director in the Information Governance, Privacy and Security practice within the firm's Technology segment, to support clients with data and risk management operations.
Mr. Margolis has more than two decades of experience developing innovative strategies and solutions for firms to address complex issues. His expertise spans compliance and risk defensible disposition, data stewardship, valuation and monetization of data, alongside deep industry experience in financial services, transportation, logistics and energy. Mr. Margolis will help clients, including data, compliance, privacy and information executives, build scalable global governance programs while enabling the supporting technology capabilities.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Margolis was a managing director of data governance, privacy compliance and technology enablement at a Big Four consulting firm, where he spent nearly six years building that practice. He has held senior-level positions within additional Big Four consultancies and a large financial services institution. He has two U.S. patents for processes and technologies supporting cross-border data transfers and numerous copyrights for bespoke software he has developed.
