Nominations are now open for the highly coveted honor of The Best Firms to Work For. This is the industry's largest and most in-depth survey assessing the profession's best working environments based on employee satisfaction.
For 23 years Consulting Magazine has presented The Best Firms to Work For, rankings, showcasing those companies whose policies and practices support their investment and commitment to keep their employees happy, engaged and professionally fulfilled.
"What organization doesn't want to show the world that their firm is a great place to work?" said Consulting Magazine Director, Michael A. Webb. "This survey is where the rubber meets the road, as it is based on the direct responses of the employees. It is uplifting to see the value great firms place on creating truly outstanding working environments and professional growth opportunities for those who help them deliver incredible levels of client service."
Each year consultants from more than 150 U.S. consulting firms submit several thousand individual surveys providing quantifiable data, programmatic explanations, descriptions of operational excellence, employee engagement and outstanding work environments that set their workplaces above others.
The annual survey ranks employee satisfaction in the following categories:
- Culture
- Career Development
- Client Engagement
- Compensation & Benefits
- Firm Leadership

Rankings are separated into two groups: small firms, consisting of between 20 and 250 billable consultants; and large firms, consisting of 251 or more billable consultants. Rankings are based on responses to survey questions completed by the firm's billable employees. There is a minimum number of responses required to qualify.
The 2024 honorees will be celebrated at an awards dinner Sept. 12 in New York City.
