A&M's INFRA practice integrates LQ Consulting and Management appointing Managing Director Pierre Légaré and Senior Directors Arshya Qureshi and Gordon Lung.
Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced the integration of LQ Consulting and Management with A&M's INFRA practice in Canada and appointed Pierre Légaré as Managing Director and Leader of INFRA Canada along with Senior Directors Arshya Qureshi and Gordon Lung. The LQ integration marks the latest milestone for A&M INFRA, a business unit that originated in Brazil in 2017 and has since expanded its presence to 11 countries spanning the globe.
Collectively, this new team brings decades of capital project development experience and expertise in managing all phases of construction and natural resource projects across diverse environments, including cold weather, tropical, arid and remote regions worldwide. Their primary sectors of concentration include mining and minerals, energy, infrastructure, transportation and real estate. They have led projects globally of varying complexity and scale, ensuring alignment with client and stakeholder requirements in diverse environments, while effectively managing cost, schedule, quality and scope.

Pierre Légaré, Managing Director, Alvarez & Marsal Mr. Légaré's notable assignments include serving as project director of a greenfield copper mine in Panama with capital costs exceeding $5.0 billion; a greenfield nickel mine in Madagascar of $4.0 billion; along with the recovery of distressed state gold mine of $1.2 billion in northern Ontario; and 15+ commercial construction and light industrial construction projects globally, encompassing warehouses, commercial complexes and recreational facilities.
Arshya Qureshi, Senior Director, Alvarez & Marsal Mr. Qureshi has managed project controls for greenfield and brownfield mine development projects from $70 million to $1 billion. Additionally, he has served as capital manager for gold mining operations in Africa with annual expenditures of $200-$600 million and providing project management office (PMO)-level services for several Toronto district energy decarbonization projects.
Gordon Lung, Senior Directors, Alvarez & Marsal Mr. Lung's experience includes serving as project services manager responsible for all project controls and supply chain functions for mine development projects in the Americas valued at $200 million to $2 billion. He also has significant capital planning and management experience via his mandate with a leading gold producer's operations in Africa.
Prior to joining A&M, they collectively established, managed, and operated LQ Consulting and Management in Canada. Prior to the founding of LQ Consulting and Management, Mr. Légaré spent over two decades at SNC-Lavalin lastly as Vice-President of Projects in the Mining & Metallurgy division.
