CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?
We have a fun, hard-working team culture built on a foundation of personal authenticity, cultural openness and critical thinking. We believe everyone performs their best when they feel challenged and supported. Each engagement is an opportunity for our consultants to stretch themselves, share their skills with team members, and shine in front of our clients.
CMAG: Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Firm to Work For?
Over the past few years, we have invested heavily in professional development. This includes a robust Learning and Development program that we revamped at the beginning of 2023, including a robust curriculum with over 40 trainings, and intentional on-the-job training. Kx is a meritocracy built around a detailed talent model that outlines Core Competencies and Critical experiences at all levels, from Associate Consultant through Vice President. Consultants clearly understand expectations of their roles, receive regular, structured feedback, and are clear on requirements for promotion.
CMAG: What's unique about your firm? What sets it apart?

CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?
Continue to expand within key Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices markets we serve, particularly with market data-oriented solutions.
CMAG: When you look at the remainder of this year and 2024, what excites you? What opportunities do you see in your markets?
A big part of the last year in pharma has been molded by the uncertainty from the Inflation Reduction Act. As we help our pharma clients navigate this new landscape, it's exciting to explore new opportunities that arise as growing priorities, especially in the fields of biologics and rare diseases.
CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?
Being a Best Firm to Work for reinforces the employee value proposition that all Kxers already know exists. We are a small firm and use that to our advantage to give staff more leadership and client-facing roles, as well as ready access to firm leadership. For our clients, it reinforces the special and intimate relationships they have with our teams and the great work they deliver.
