CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?

For the past few years, we have developed an entire new suite of cutting-edge, innovative offerings to help our clients digitally transform and leverage the power of cloud, AI and digital. In helping businesses to solve their most complex challenges leveraging the power of disruptive technology –where the human element is the true differentiator for success – our people have been more inspired than ever to help our firm transform and do work that makes a real impact on people.

Being recognized as a best firm to work for is also the result of the significant efforts our employees have made over the past few years to position the organization at large into a top-3 powerhouse tech brand. The success of our firm is delivered through our people; we employ and recruit some of the very best talent from across the industry, universities and well-known MBA programs.

With steady and strong leadership that is highly focused and dedicated to growing talent from within, our workforce has rallied around the company's vision and its commitment to innovation and client excellence. Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Firm to Work For?

We have had many celebratory moments over the past year, from client successes and exciting new wins to industry awards and high-profile media coverage. Our firm consistently acknowledges employees' commitment – notably our Award for Excellence program, a global ceremony rewarding our world-class consultants who are making a huge impact in the industry. We also nominate our top talent for their professional achievements, notably the Global Leaders, Women Leaders in Tech, and Rising Star awards from Consulting Magazine; we are proud to have won many accolades here in the past few years.

Our workforce and success are reliant on a highly diverse set of skills, experiences, perspectives and backgrounds. This is what drives creativity and innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking for our clients. Simply put, our competitive differentiator is our people – and we strive for a culture that values diversity, promotes equity and offers a highly-inclusive environment for everyone to thrive.

Our clients continue to recognize our work and impact on changing their businesses and helping them accelerate digital adoption. These are some of our proudest moments when our clients tell us the positive impact, we are making to how they operate and how their people work.

CMAG: What's unique about your firm? What sets it apart?

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to innovation and technological advancement. Business and technology are now forever linked. From board strategy, management decisions to operational IT, we connect the dots and work across stakeholders to ensure success in today's technology-powered enterprise. Our consultants sit at this intersect to solve our clients' most daunting challenges, supported by an entrepreneurial culture where they are encouraged to disrupt and innovate, with no boundaries to creative thinking. Our team embraces different perspectives and experiences and never prescribe a 'one size fits all' approach to a client challenge.

With a rich legacy of driving digital transformation, our firm stands out for its emphasis on cutting-edge solutions, a global network of innovation hubs and a dedicated focus on attracting and nurturing talent. This is why Infosys has been awarded the Global Top Employer 2023 certification in more than 20 countries across APAC, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?

We have recently launched Infosys Topaz, our AI-first service solution. This is already showing significant signs of disruption in the market, and capturing considerable attention as clients delve deeper into generative AI. Every practice within the firm is taking a leading role in advancing innovative AI capabilities for our clients, coupled with pioneering thought leadership. With AI and its disruptive potential, we are also making sure ethics and governance is central to how we advise and work with our clients – and these principles will remain a centerpiece of our agenda forward as AI plays a bigger and bigger role in the market.

CMAG: When you look at the remainder of this year and 20224, what excites you? What opportunities do you see in your markets?

We continually set ambitious targets and embrace new challenges every year. With AI as a focal point of our strategy, we see a multiple of emerging opportunities, whether with longstanding clients or newcomers in the market. While AI may be perceived as a potential threat by some, we firmly believe it will be a substantial asset for shaping the business of tomorrow. As a result, we are tailoring our services to revolve around AI, positioning it as the cornerstone of our expertise.

Digital transformation alone will not be enough in the coming decade. We know that climate change will be eminently more challenging than the pandemic, and businesses are ensuring that environmental, social and governance factors are at the centre of their strategic vision – including a transition toward a circular economy (CE). We will be increasingly advising clients on the environmental impact of data centers and how to mitigate and manage 5G energy consumption, which will become an increasing drain on energy consumption.

Lastly, continuing to build and curate a highly diverse workforce and driving our aggressive agenda around DEI will remain a central pillar to our strategy ahead. This excites me because it's core to who we are – which is a people business that thrives on bringing out the very best in everyone and leveraging the multitude of ways our global culture thinks, act and collaborates.

CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?

The acknowledgment of being named Best Firm to Work for is indicative of the notable progress Infosys has achieved in recent years to elevate the organization into a prominent tech brand and trusted employer. This accolade will not only heighten our brand visibility and foster clients trust, but it will also enhance our credibility as a top tier employer in the consulting industry. We will continue to hire top talents from many different backgrounds, this recognition really helps to strengthen our connectivity with current and future staff.
