What has been the biggest factor in your success so far?
Mentorship. I am extremely proud to have worked alongside remarkable leadership over the years who have coached and invested in me throughout my journey. Watching them closely in their roles, listening generously to their experiences and mirroring the behaviors has allowed me draw upon the best in all to develop my own personal ethos.
What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?
That everyone you work with is incredibly talented and have the same drive for excellence. Some stay as colleagues and others become trusted clients. It's a remarkable network of business leaders all rowing in the same direction.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
That I am both a successful consultant and mother. With two children born just one year apart it hasn't always been easy to balance work and motherhood, but I am very proud of the boundaries I have put in place to allow me to have a fulfilling journey in both areas. I am proud to have achieved this, and equally proud to have the opportunity to support this culture for my team.
What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Treat others how you want to be treated. The consulting industry is not only hard with long hours, but our clients give us complicated problems to solve. This combination creates stress that shows up differently for everyone. Ensuring that each person is treated with respect, meaning being open to others diverse ideas regardless of title, tenure, experiences, or viewpoint is very important to allow each to be their best.
What does this recognition mean to you?
This honor is not just for me. It's reflective of the hard work the entire team puts in to drive innovation and build strong client relationships. We rely on each other deeply to be successful in solving some of the financial services industry's most challenging problems, and this recognition would be an indication and validation that together we are doing something right, something special.
