2023 Global Leaders in Consulting: Mark Jamrozinski

Mark is the leader of Deloitte's Canadian & Chilean Financial Advisory practice, a market-leading team of more than 1,000 professionals comprising of Deloitte's end-to-end M&A offerings, modelling, valuation, financial crime and forensics investigation capabilities as well as restructuring, economics, data and analytics teams.

Mark serves on Deloitte Canada's Executive and the Global Financial Advisory Executive with responsibility for Canadian strategy, growth & innovation, and DE&I, among a number of strategic initiatives. Mark currently sponsors or mentors 25 professionals in Deloitte and the marketplace.

Mark has 25 years of M&A, corporate finance and strategy experience. He has personally advised on more than 750 investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture situations, delivering strategic advice across the entire M&A lifecycle. Mark works with leading global financial institutions, private equity funds as well as strategic buyers and government.

What do you consider your greatest personal or professional achievement?

There are two priorities I consider my greatest achievements: family comes first and make an impact that matters in your career.

I am very proud of my family! I am married to an amazing and supportive wife (my life mentor) and we have three great kids. While not always easy, prioritizing my family has been a career strength.

Paying it forward – I am proud of the impact I have made on the careers of so many people inside and outside of Deloitte.

What advice would you give a professional just beginning a career in consulting?

Prioritize the things that matter to you, focus on making an impact beyond the task at hand and find the path and people that inspire you.

What's the best advice—personal or professional—you've ever received?

Life is short! If you do not enjoy what you are doing, make the changes necessary to achieve your happiness.

What does being honored as a Global Leader mean to you?

Being recognized as a Global Leader in Consulting is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the continuous efforts I make to enhance the profession, to serve our clients and to better the communities that I operate within. The award serves as a testament to the people I work with and the firm I have served for more than a quarter century.

The impact that we make in the profession, with our clients and within the communities we serve, goes beyond the financial results of the day. I truly believe that we have a duty of care to continue to learn, develop and share with those around us, with the goal to inspire the leaders of tomorrow. This award also calls to attention the importance of core values and the important journey our profession must take to be more inclusive.
