Nick is the founder and managing partner of Beyond ESG a consultancy that helps organisations operationalise their ESG data. Prior to launching Beyond ESG last year Nick is an experienced entrepreneur with a history of working in the IT industry for 25 years. Nick enjoys helping his clients to embrace new technologies to meet desired business outcomes, and is skilled in Sales, Consulting, Professional Services, Management and Software as a Service (SaaS).

What do you consider your greatest personal or professional achievement?

Personally, work in progress as ever, but teaching my children to build relationships, self-discipline and fixing their own problems. Similarly, from a professional point of view, helping colleagues find their purpose and become more successful than me.

What advice would you give a professional just beginning a career in consulting?

Simplify everything, listen, listen and listen, work really hard and choose topics of personal interest.

What have you loved most about your consulting career?

My clients, the variability of the work and serving my curious character.

What's the best advice—personal or professional—you've ever received

If you can't stand up in front of 100 people and tell them what you did and be proud, don't do it!

What does being honored as a Global Leader mean to you?

On a personal level it is quite humbling. But professionally, it gives our clients the recognition they deserve for sponsoring the work we have done. It is testament to our approach to working with our clients and that our engagements get great results.
