On Nov. 3, 2022, in conjunction with the 2022 Leading Women in Consulting awards gala, Consulting Magazine, in partnership with Conscious Inclusion Company, presented a panel discussion on technology's emerging impact on DEI.
Michael Webb, Moderator; Susan Freeman, Conscious Inclusion Company; Natalie Borneo, Conscious Inclusion Company; Mychal Harrison, Huron. For the last 50 years, society in every developed country has become a society of institutions, one of operating systems. Every major social task, whether economic performance or health care, education or the protection of the environment, the pursuit of new knowledge or defense, is today being entrusted to operating systems created by and for the white male.
This panel discussed the concept of "crashing these operating systems and rebooting them" as a process for advancing DEI, and how arrangements of people, organizations, information, and technology, give rise to complex adaptive phenomena that pose challenges to firms across the country.
Consulting Magazine director Michael Webb moderated this groundbreaking conversation with the following esteemed panelists:
- Susan Freeman, Chief Executive Officer & Founder, Conscious Inclusion Company.
- Natalie Borneo, Conscious Inclusion Company – Subject Matter Expert and Trainer in Emotional Intelligence Dress for Success Worldwide – Senior Director, Program Operations.
- Mychal Harrison, Managing Director at Huron, Consulting Magazine 2022 Top Consultants Diversity Champion.
