CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?

We have stayed true to our commitment to developing authentic client and employee relationships and creating an exceptional workplace culture since day one. Our culture celebrates individuals, collaboration and lifelong friendships. From recognition programs to a flexible, remote work environment – ensuring employee happiness is integrated into everything we do. As we grow, we seek to hire people who are culture adds and who genuinely value and embody Centric's unmatched culture, so our philosophy remains ingrained in our future.

CMAG: Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Firm to Work For?

Several programs funnel into our commitment to culture and contribute to our longevity as a great place to work.

We formed a company-wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) program, Centric Together, led by more than 100 employees working to build and evolve our systems, practices and culture to welcome and nurture a more diverse workforce. We are intentional about sharing and fostering ideas among our employee resource groups and including contributors from all levels of the company. Our employees recognize and appreciate these efforts.

Another contributing factor is the mechanisms we've built for transparency and feedback. When we make key company decisions, we get employee perspectives through our Voice of the Employee team, which is made up of employees of all levels and backgrounds. We regularly survey our employees and use their input to make changes across the company, such as modifying our benefits and compensation to respond to market conditions. At all levels within our organization, we routinely listen and respond to internal and external feedback and then act based on those insights.

CMAG: What's unique about your firm? What sets it apart?

Our people. They are passionate, highly skilled experts who dedicate themselves to providing unmatched experiences to our clients. Our leaders average 20 years of experience and have called Centric home for more than five years. We focus on fostering an environment where relationships are a cornerstone, and we treat our employees with the same trust and loyalty as clients. Even in unprecedented times, we have never had a layoff in our 22-year history.

CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?

Even as we see growing demand for our services, we are focused on finding the right balance between meeting clients' needs and bringing in talented people to join our team. There have been a lot of business and market changes that have impacted our clients and employees over the last two years. We are dedicated to helping both our employees and our clients find the right balance to address those challenges and be successful. When you look at the remainder of this year and 2023, what excites you?

CMAG: What opportunities do you see in your future?

We are very excited about our long-term future. We have designed our company to truly bring the best of Centric to our clients with a great mix of specialized skills and experts combined with our local consulting and offshore capability. Centric has grown an average of 10 percent annually over the last 20 years, and we do not see that momentum slowing. We will continue to provide career growth and unmatched job security for our people by making meaningful investments in areas where we see an opportunity for future growth.

CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?

It's had an enormous impact. Everyone takes great pride in this honor as it validates what we all believe: Centric truly is a great place to work. A big driver in making Centric a great place is that we work equally hard to provide an unmatched experience for our employees as our clients. The culture we've fostered internally is the same one we apply to our clients.
