Rising Stars of the Profession 2021: Anushay Wahab

Anushay joined Morae Global in January 2017 and has led contract management implementation projects for clients of all sizes up to Fortune 100 organizations. She leads all aspects of the implementation from design, configuration, to administrative and end-user training sessions as well as managing/analyzing large data sets to present conclusions and solutions.

In addition to client successes, Anushay is largely credited with Morae's platinum partner designation with key vendors and for training 15 internal candidates to achieve their capstone certifications as part of the program. More broadly at Morae, Anushay is seen as a leader and has led a team of managers that has recruited and is now overseeing the development for our first group of 3 diverse associates.

What does Anushayv credit as the biggest factor in her success to date? "For my personal growth, I would say that the thing that has helped me succeed/improve the most is being adaptable to change. I believe that there is always a way to do things better and that we sometimes limit ourselves when we think our way is the only right way. It has always been helpful for me to work with others and adopt their good habits/ways of doing things. With clients, I think what has helped me most is being transparent and empathetic in my communications with them (and, of course, responsible with their budgets!)"

She continues, "I enjoy that every day is different and that there is always something new to learn. There is always a new challenge and I enjoy the teamwork in helping clients solve problems."

Her proudest achievement to date is to have put some structure around Morae's CLM practice, "There is still a long way to go, but we are a lot further along than we were a year ago."

What's the best advice you've ever been given?

"To be a life-long learner, and that there is something to learn from everyone, regardless of their experience."
