CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Large Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?
This recognition validates our significant impact on the market, both with our clients, partners, and people. This is the third time we have been nominated for this award, but it is the first time we are being recognized as a Best Large Firm to Work For. We have managed to stay among the industry's Best Firms to Work For by remaining true to our core values and the commitments made to our clients while continuing to expand our capabilities and offerings. Since last year we have hired 265 people to our team, opened new global offices, and expanded our partnerships to further provide top services to our clients. We are incredibly thankful for everyone who has nominated us for this award and look forward to seeing what we achieve in 2022.
CMAG: Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Large Firm to Work For?
We have a very comprehensive onboarding program that allows our new team members to onboard quickly within the first few months. Our Women Elevate program at Spaulding Ridge further cultivates a space for women to develop as rising leaders in the workforce. We also have a robust mentorship program that places a priority on developing our talent. Our team members willingly look forward to participating in these programs while building the greater Spaulding Ridge community across the globe. In addition to these programs, we've recently opened offices in India and Australia to further provide our unique service offerings to the markets. All of these initiatives have led to our continued growth and success, which couldn't have been achieved without our people.
CMAG: What is unique about your firm? What sets it apart?
At Spaulding Ridge, we believe all business is personal. Our core values aren't just words we say — they're something we hire for and live out every day. Our team builds on a foundation of culture, and it's this culture that has made Spaulding Ridge a successful firm while staying true to who we are and what is best for our clients. While we are deeply committed to our values, we recognize that our firm might not be a fit for everyone. For example, every interview starts with an in-depth culture fit assessment, before moving on to a technical assessment.
CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?
Our top priority is to continue to deliver high value for our clients during these unprecedented times. Given our rapid growth in the past year, new processes, geographic and service expansion, and continually evolving technology, we need to remember that our clients pay our bills and make this all possible. We have to keep our execution level high and focus on our clients' changing needs. We are also looking to further develop our analytic offerings to better leverage artificial intelligence in everything that we do. All of this will only help us further streamline our capabilities and allow us to grow even further than before.
CMAG: When you look at the remainder of this year and 2022, what excites you? What opportunities do you see in your markets?
We are incredibly excited to continue supporting our clients on their digital transformation journeys. The platforms are improving dramatically, and we are already planning with our clients to better leverage their existing technologies as they continue to evolve.
CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Large Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?
Being a Best Large Firm to Work For confirms our dedication to our values, including radical transparency with our employees, clients, and partners. This recognition further confirms both the growth, good work, and impact we are making on leading companies around the world. It also shows that we are invested in our employees, and we will continually focus on making Spaulding Ridge a great place to work.
First, our people. We believe that all business is personal. A core value that has certainly contributed to our success during the Covid-19 pandemic. We quickly pivoted to virtual while providing an incredible amount of support to each other. Our internal support structures pre-existed, so there was help wherever it was needed, resulting in a flawless transition for our clients.
Second, our clients. Many of our long-term clients have been flexible and supportive through the pandemic – a true testament to the meaningful relationships we have developed with them throughout the years. The true partnership demonstrated through these challenging times has helped raise our spirits and has given us the extra motivation to continue providing exceptional delivery to our clients.
Third, our software partners. Our best-in-cloud approach of aligning ourselves with the top software providers in the market has proven to be the right move for us and our clients. The old school approach of staying vendor agnostic, talking about the problem for months, then attempting to implement the selected technology is not efficient – both with time and money – and our digital transformation approach has proven to be a winning strategy throughout 2020.
