CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?
Pariveda's commitment and mission to growing people toward their highest potential remain strong. 2020 was a year like no other, and our top priority was keeping our people and clients physically and psychologically safe. The challenge remains sustaining person-to-person connections when physical proximity is limited.
CMAG: Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Firm to Work For?
Over the past year, we have implemented our own proprietary resiliency learning program firm-wide. It covers six areas of resiliency to help Mentors and their Mentees become more mentally, emotionally, and physically resilient. We made capital investments in our office spaces to significantly improve indoor air quality and physical health.
CMAG: What's unique about your firm? What sets it apart?
Pariveda is an employee-owned company with an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Our people have ownership interests in our company. This is our "exit strategy." We have no sales incentives, salary negotiations, or outcome-based compensation schemes. Pariveda is well ahead of most organizations regarding pay equity, having been architected from the start with a transparent salary structure, including complete parity for employees at a given level and the absence of any discretionary/arbitrary pay. 360-degree feedback minimizes bias in promotion decisions.
CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?
Ensuring our people are safe while working to solve our client's most pressing challenges. We're implementing various internal, short-, and long-term changes designed to improve the employee experience at Pariveda. These changes are a direct result of feedback via interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
CMAG: When you look at the remainder of this year and 2022, what excites you? What opportunities do you see in your markets?
Each year our college hires bring their new wave of energy to our firm. They are a key component of our growth each year. As companies aim to thrive going into 2022, we look forward to partnering with clients to solve their most pressing problems.
CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?
People here are passionate about their work. We are difference-makers in our industry and the communities where we live, always learning, coaching more, and giving back. Because our people are highly engaged, we co-create solutions with our clients for their ambiguous, complex problems. Our people seek out and design creative solutions using holistic thinking leveraging leading-edge business, information technology and product ideas.
