CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?

Our Associates, who we refer to as "Winners", are strongly committed to sustaining our uniquely special culture which continues to be a top priority at Impact Advisors. Our Impact family has persevered through the challenges of 2020 and become stronger in 2021 because of each Winner's ongoing commitment to our Impact Advisors mission and core values.

Integrity Our Winners understood the importance of helping our clients through the challenges of 2020. They never stopped focusing on making our clients successful, whether their projects continued through COVID, were paused, or were canceled, our Winners stood behind their work and focused on helping each client and each other.

Motivation Again, our Winners faced the challenges head-on in transitioning to remote projects, managing through restricted travel, and even continuing travel during the pandemic. Our teams continued to push forward and complete all project milestones successfully by staying focused on supporting one another – and those on the front lines of providing quality healthcare to the patients they serve.

Passion Our passion for healthcare truly shined over the last year. When COVID hit, our teams developed case studies, white papers, blogs and teleconferences to share tips and tricks on how clients, individuals, and teams were being successful in a unchartered pandemic territory.

Agile We flexed a lot! Transitioning Winners to new projects when we had cancellations, working with clients to adjust payment schedules that would help our clients, and even trying out new roles. Our Winners at each client site, our Leadership team and our Operations team all took on new responsibilities to further support each other, and the firm.

Care We all pitched in, it didn't matter if we were working multiple jobs or trying to find more ways to help, our Winners went above and beyond to support each other and the firm over the last year.

Talent We shared our talents with each other and our client over the last year, through knowledge sharing, extra hours of work, and teamwork to help everyone succeed.

CMAG: Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Firm to Work For?

Internally, we have many programs designed to support our Winners and the firm. One of the first lines of support for our Impact family is our Happy Team which is dedicated to checking in on the well-being of our Winners through Happy Checks, Value Interview Process (VIP) Checks, Happy Visits at our client sites, and celebrating our individual successes and team successes through our internal communications. Another strong form of support is our leadership team who is dedicated to our Winners and our clients. Over the last year, we have implemented multiple activities to help support our Winners and communicate the health of the firm. These activities included:

  • Weekly to Bi-Monthly COVID Town Hall Meetings with our CEOs
  • Daily to Weekly COVID published updates with a summary of the latest information
  • The Development of our Diversity and Inclusion team to help celebrate our diverse workforce and inform our Winners on the struggles our clients and their communities face

Finally, our Winners all individually contribute to our ongoing success by supporting each other on their client sites and within the Firm. They reach out through the teams above for help and look out for those on their teams to make sure everyone is successful.

CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?

Our primary priority is to continue to develop our service portfolio with an emphasis on Strategy and Operations, ERP, and Digital and Analytics.  We are reacting to the rapidly evolving requirements of our clients.  These services are in high demand as our clients are trying to optimize their ability to deliver world-class healthcare to their consumers and patients.  We are at the forefront of this evolution, advising our clients and helping them define successful strategies.  In addition, we are helping them select and implement solutions to support these strategies.

CMAG: When you look at the remainder of this year and 2022, what excites you? What opportunities do you see in your markets?

We are extremely excited about the remainder of the year.  The markets are rapidly evolving with new requirements every day.  It feels like the demands of the market are accelerating, especially with the challenges of the world pandemic.  Our clients are realizing that they need to evolve and optimize rapidly to support this changing environment.  We are very excited about our role in defining a new model for the delivery of Healthcare.

CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?

We are extremely grateful to be recognized on Consulting magazine's prestigious 2021 Best Firms list which has a huge positive impact on our firm, our Winners and our clients. Being recognized as a Best Large Firm to Work For validates our strong commitment to culture and engagement as we continue to grow our work family, year over year. Internally, this recognition supports our recruiters, sales team, marketing team, operations team, and our individual Winners. We are all always thrilled to share this news with potential new Winners (recruits), with our clients (as our success directly translates to them), and it is a great celebration for our Winners of the culture they directly contribute to creating and maintaining.
