Mayte Fernandez tells us her greatest personal achievement has been juggling the responsibilities of being a mother to two amazing young boys while growing the business. "Last year, in particular, was quite challenging given the COVID pandemic, the business climate uncertainties, the need to pivot to working from home, and the virtual schooling requirements. We made it through!"
She ranks situational awareness, by far, as one of the unique challenges of being a female consultant and business owner. "In my humble opinion, technology is the easy part, 'people' are the variable."
"Bad news early is good news," says Fernandez. "A sales executive shared that pearl of wisdom and it has stuck with me for years. I use it frequently. It is all about having all of the necessary information available to make an informed decision.
"Winning a Women Leaders in Technology award is quite the honor, especially since it presents an opportunity to be a role model to girls that might be interested in pursuing a career in STEM. There are unlimited opportunities in the technology sector for talented young ladies and the diversity in the types of opportunities are endless."

"My greatest professional achievement has been, along with my business partner, to build a reputable technology consulting firm, Momentum Consulting, that has been servicing South Florida's largest public and private companies for the last 19 years. Our outstanding team of business-savvy technology professionals is committed to solving our customer's business needs through technology. We are known for delivering projects and solutions on time and on budget while exceeding our customer's expectations."
