Excellence in Innovation

Maggie McCain has worked hard over the years to grow and expand her skill set in the technology space. "I'm honored to have that hard work recognized – and in such great company! It is gratifying to see the progress I have made, and to be recognized by my peers."

In college, she had no idea what she wanted to do as a career and spent her early 20s working jobs she was not invested in or excited about.  "I took a leap of faith in pivoting my career to consulting and learning a new skill set, and I am proud of myself for changing direction when I needed to and continuing to grow into a career that I am really excited about."

Yet McCain is well aware of the challenges of the industry. "There is a benefit of the doubt given to men that isn't always granted to women in technology. It can take more effort and time to establish that same baseline credibility, so there is always an internal pressure to prove yourself."

Q&A: What would you say is the best advice (consulting or otherwise) you've ever received?

"Be honest with yourself about what you do and don't know. And whatever you don't know, learn!"
