The 2021 Global Leaders in Consulting: Dhinakar Selwyn

His peers say his first priority is always his work and delivering on the promises made to his clients, and that his approach is to take the whole team together so nobody is left behind. His keen ability to know the root cause of a problem and provide pragmatic solutions, including delivering custom technology solutions to specific clients as opposed to the same tech and tools across engagements, make him an effective innovation leader.

In response to COVID-19, he spearheaded creation of Capgemini's "Namaste Capgemini" tool to help the entire organization transition to working from home during the pandemic, which was nominated for the Aegis Graham Bell Awards in 2020, one of the largest innovation awards in India. Selwyn points to this as one of his greatest professional achievements.

As for what have been the biggest keys to his success, Selwyn is quick to share credit with his peers and team.

"Self-motivation, a desire to learn, hard work, and grooming the next generation of talent to do big things early [in their careers]," he says. He also gives a nod to "a superb team I have built who complements and energizes me to take on harder and tougher challenges every day," and, of course, "a loving family who is my pillar of support."

"It is certainly a thrilling moment for me to be named a Global leader in Consulting. The Consulting Magazine is considered a gold standard in our industry and to be named in the Top, makes me and my team, and my organization proud.  This also reiterates Capgemini's position as among the Leader for Leaders in the Transformation consulting space. This award will strengthen our cred of solving any complex transformation challenge in an innovative and risk-demystified manner."
