Excellence in Engagement
David McGibbon is a Partner/Principal at Ernst & Young, leading a consulting business and digital transformation practice spanning the Americas, including the U.S., Canada, and the EY region of the British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Bermuda, and Cayman Islands.
He's been a regular fixture at numerous Consulting industry conferences across the region, facilitated roundtables with global organizations, and leveraged his Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications and various association and not-for-profit board memberships to provide a global Consulting perspective to his clients and community.
He has successfully delivered transformational enterprise-wide Consulting initiatives for his Fortune 100 clients, exceeding 200+ people, $50 million annual revenue, and developing new service offerings for EY. In his current global Consulting responsibilities in the Caribbean and Americas regions, he has grown the Consulting practice and capability and achieved top exceptional client service ratings.
When asked what being named a Global Leader in Consulting means to him and his firm, McGibbon was quick to spread the credit around.
"I am honored and grateful to the various mentors, coaches, team members, supporters, and incredible clients that have fostered my growth and experiences throughout my career thus far and look forward to many more learning opportunities," he says.
As for what have been the biggest keys to his success, McGibbon pointed to all of those he's worked closely with over the years who have shaped his approach.
"I have been incredibly lucky to work with an array of inspiring and talented mentors and coaches that have shaped my professional development, including my current consulting leadership at EY who set an empowering example of serving clients with purpose and dedication. The relationships and the learning opportunities that I have had the opportunity to engage in throughout my career have fostered the most enriching moments of my career while also teaching me the power of an engaged and inclusive team that I can always learn from."
Q&A: What would you say are your greatest professional achievements thus far in your career?
"None of the outcomes of my career thus far would be possible without such inspiring leaders, teammates and clients that I have been able to learn from. Time and time again, the colleagues that I have had the opportunity to work with continue to stick out as the most memorable, rewarding, and impactful part of each role and engagement during my career."
