Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?

Sanders: This one is simple. Our incredible people and our loyal clients. Our team continues to grow and get stronger every year and provide endless value to our clients. We also expanded into new markets, allowing us to maximize our presence across our clients, and be available to them in their own home communities. We are fortunate that we have continued to capitalize on the depth of our client relationships, allowing us to broaden our footprint within multiple new lines of business based our on previous success with deliverables and first-class expertise. We look forward to continuing to bring on exceptional people and grow along with our clients for the remainder of this year and in the years to come.

Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?

Sanders: We are tracking to having our best year yet. Our growth projections for this year are as strong as they have ever been, and as we continue to grow, we will continue to be able to provide a greater diversity of opportunities for our consultants while offering better services to our clients. Our team has done an amazing job already this year managing through difficult times and continuing to grow despite the many roadblocks that all companies are facing. We have found areas of opportunity to show our strength within areas such as transformation management, digital change and business continuity, while continuing to invest and build out new consulting capabilities. We are excited about closing out the second half of the year strong.

Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2021? Where do you see the most opportunities?

Sanders: 2021 looks to be another good year for Summus Group and we are staying cautiously optimistic even with all of the uncertainty in the world right now. Our goal is to continue to identify, attract and retain top industry and consulting professionals who believe in our mission and vision. Our corporate development teams work side by side with clients and see opportunities in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, digital change, risk, regulatory and compliance and modern delivery. The changing global landscape will provide additional consulting opportunities and we have to be able to adapt to the needs of our clients and meet those challenges.

Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2021?

Sanders: At Summus Group, we remain flexible and adaptable to a changing client landscape influenced by broader market impacts. We expect digital programs to accelerate and advance and anticipate cost optimization programs at many clients. Based upon our industry expertise, we look forward to helping financial services clients navigate the US CARES Act. We view challenges as opportunities for our people and teams to serve, grow and perform.

Consulting: What does being named a Fastest Growing Firm mean to your firm, employees and clients?

Sanders: It's an incredible honor to be recognized for this prestigious award for a 4th year in a row. We are grateful to have been recognized previously, and are grateful for recognition, as it validates that our strategy is in line with the demands of our clients and markets. It is a testament to the commitment, skill development, career growth and satisfaction of our associates. Additionally, others in the broad outreach of our industries will be able to recognize what our clients experience today; that we aim to and successfully provide superior consulting services at market competitive rates with resources that are enjoyable to be around.
