With global headquarters in Dallas, Texas, the firm provides an integrated suite of tax services on a multi-jurisdictional basis, including tax recovery, consulting, advocacy, compliance, and technology services. Consulting recently caught up with firm CEO G. Brint Ryan to talk about the firm's growth.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?
Ryan: In 2019, our exceptional growth was a direct result of an enterprise-wide focus on our key results. We continue to focus on our people, client service excellence, and creating exceptional value for our clients. By keeping these three results at the forefront of all that we do, we are able to drive outstanding results year over year.
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Ryan: This year has been a challenge as it has been for everyone. However, now more than ever, we are able to support our clients, providing excellent results and exceptional value during this unprecedented time. In addition, because of our strong culture, we have remained agile and quickly adapted to the changing conditions that will define 2020. All of which is to say, remarkably, this year is looking like another year of growth for us.
Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2021? Where do you see the most opportunities?
Ryan: Ryan is not just in the tax business; we are in the tomorrow business. As the world continues to deal with the economic ramifications of the global pandemic, we know that helping our clients have a brighter tomorrow is part of our purpose. We have a tremendous opportunity to make a positive difference in our clients' businesses, as every company is looking to regain firm footing in 2021, and we are here to help make that happen.Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2021?
Ryan: In 2021, we will have clients at varying stages of recovery. Our biggest challenge and most exciting opportunity will be ensuring that we are doing all we can to position them to have a successful 2021. It is what we are focused on each and every year and where we thrive.
