Logic20/20 is a West-Coast based business and technology consulting firm focused on clarity and enhancing the digital customer experience. We help our customers solve their most pressing business challenges by delivering simple and elegant solutions using data analytics, technology, and strategy, with an eye towards their specific goals and outcomes. Consulting recently spoke to CEO Christian O'Meara to talk about the firm's impressive growth trajectory.

Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?

O'Meara: Logic20/20's exceptional growth is driven by our continued investment in our employees and their personal development. We strive for people-first company culture because we know if we invest in our employees, it will show in the work we produce for our clients. Another crucial contributing factor to our company's growth in 2019 was the acquisition of the digital consulting firm Primitive Logic. With this acquisition we were able to expand our reach to new geographies and increase our breadth of capabilities for all clients, specifically in data privacy, technology M&A, and digital transformation. Our integration into one company was smooth thanks to our organizational similarities, allowing us to move forward quickly with a shared vision and brand.

Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?

O'Meara: 2020 is shaping up to be a great but challenging year. Our primary goal is to remain adaptable and protect our business through economic downturns. Our teams have set themselves up for success through careful planning and have sought out ways to do more with less. We're using our data as quickly as we can remain agile and move quickly in the market. We are also focused on the diversification of our business through targeted relationship building. We continue to grow and are well-positioned to capitalize on new business opportunities and outperform our competition. We also continue to build our employees' skill sets, since our end goal is to support our people, both clients and employees.

Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2021? Where do you see the most opportunities?

O'Meara: Our outlook for 2021 is positive, with a focus on further diversifying our business. We want to continue to work with clients outside of our key enterprise accounts, focusing specifically on the utilities, healthcare, financial services, high tech, and biotech fields. These industries are resilient, but are also required to reduce overhead costs, so there's an enormous opportunity for us to help. In 2021, we're also going to have the unique chance to connect with people digitally and we're looking forward to maintaining and growing relationships in a digital environment. When we acquired Primitive Logic last year, we had to shift our firm's model to digital first in order to build company-wide relationships and a consistent culture. Being able to communicate effectively across channels and utilize geographically diverse resources are two key traits of successful businesses of the future, and we look forward to scaling our distributed workforce and digital collaboration across teams.

Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2021?

O'Meara: The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the 2021 outlook for businesses of all kinds. Our biggest challenge for the year will be mindful hiring. We look for individuals that are eager to lead, interested in creating a personal legacy, and eager to take our firm to the next level. Economic uncertainty may make potential hires wary of changing companies, so that's something we'll be challenged to overcome. In addition to continued hiring, we plan ramp up training internally to help us level up in a down economy. It's extremely important for us to shelter our resources and build on the incredible talent we already have within our organization.

Consulting: What does being named a Fastest Growing Firm mean to your firm, employees and clients?

O'Meara: Being named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms is an amazing honor, and we are incredibly proud to have been named to the list for three consecutive years in a row. We truly value the hard work our employees put in every day, and we dedicate this honor to them. Without their commitment and dedication, we wouldn't be able to grow as quickly as we have. Our firm values this award because it signifies our expanding presence in the market. It serves as a building block to grow our relationships with both existing and new clients. It's an indicator that we are a great business to work with, capable of not only delivering, but exceeding expectations.
