Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?

Caplin: In the past year, I have enhanced the business' value in a number of ways. HCI experienced tremendous growth in 2018, including record high revenue numbers. By June 2019, HCI has delivered services to more than 260 clients in more than 20 countries globally. Under my guidance, HCI continues to grow and expand to new markets both domestically and internationally. Strong leadership has directly led to the tremendous success that the company has experienced.

Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2020? Where do you see the most opportunities?

Caplin: I was able to facilitate the beginnings of a partnership between our parent company, Tech Mahindra, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. As the Technology and Analytics Partner and Digital Strategy Partner of the Jaguars, Tech Mahindra, HCI's parent company, will provide next generation digital technology expertise, such as artificial intelligence and advanced analytics, to enrich the fan experience and create front office efficiencies. In addition to our partnership, we also strive to hire military veterans of the community. Our Jacksonville Service Desk Center continues to support our clients, while growing and supporting the Jacksonville workforce by hiring local.

Consulting: What are your firm's biggest challenges in 2020?

Caplin: Healthcare is under attack and in response to an increase in cyber threats and cyberattacks targeted at healthcare organizations and a general lack of awareness, coordination, best practices and education for addressing such threats and attacks, establishing HCI as a security focused and aware healthcare services provider is a strategic advantage.  Working with our world class TechM IT security teams, our approach will develop a more patient and provider analytics solution that enables early identification, analysis and distribution of cybersecurity threat and attack information, and industry coordination of response activities. Preparing for disasters and maintaining business continuity is a key aspect of any well managed security program, having data driven situational awareness can prevent large scale attacks on healthcare organizations, provide faster incident response time and help limit the amount of damage that can be done.

Caplin: We are so honored to be featured for another year on Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms with so many great companies. This could not be done without the hard work of our dedicated team and their desire to improve patient care through technology.
