Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?

Tzavlakis: We have a niche in Life Sciences advisory services concentrating in compliance, commercial, medical, and patient services operations. Helio brings new ideas as subject matter experts in this space through analytical capabilities focused on small data engineering which has allowed us to grow at a rapid pace.

Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?

Tzavlakis: 2019 has already been a record year and we plan to grow over 50% again YOY. In late 2018 we launched a technology solution in compliance analytics & monitoring named HelioCORE that has helped provide growth this year and will be a driver of revenue for years to come. We recently revamped HelioCORE based on client and industry feedback and will be launching new functionality in early Q4.

Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook—and opportunities— for 2020?

Tzavlakis: Our outlook for 2020 looks very strong—a number of consulting projects are already booked around specialized reporting for Open Payments which requires life sciences manufacturers to track any payments to healthcare professionals (HCPs). We also see opportunities in automating a number of compliance functions helping clients become more data-driven in this space. With our analytical solution HelioCORE, we want to make compliance teams more proactive and less reactive.

Consulting: What would you say are your firm's biggest challenges in 2020?

Tzavlakis: Biggest challenge for us is recruiting —we have built what we feel is a dynamic culture and want to make sure all hires are able to fit this mold.

Consulting: What does being named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms mean to your firm, employees and clients?

Tzavlakis: Being named one of Consulting's Fastest Growing Firms is an absolute honor for us and we could not do it without our outstanding team who work closely with our amazing clients.
