The 2019 Rising Stars of the Profession: Sharon Delgado

Sharon Delgado attributes a large part of her success to the strong network of colleagues that surround her, what she calls her Protiviti family. "I'm grateful for the mentorship and guidance of the individuals who blazed the path ahead of me, and it would be impossible for me to have grown at Protiviti without the support and dedication of the teams that work with me day in and day out across my clients," Delgado says. "I'm constantly challenged by my peers, and I relish the unique perspectives they bring and their desire to always question the status quo."

When it comes to what excites her most about the consulting profession, she says it's, without a doubt, her clients' success. "My clients' success continues to fuel my passion for the consulting profession," Delgado says "Taking a deep dive with my clients to understand the real problems and root causes of the 'pain' they are feeling, and brainstorming solutions with them to help them grow and emerge successfully, is a constant reward."

She says she chose this career path above others as she knew she wanted a career full of diversity, and one which would constantly push her to think critically and continue learning every day. "Needless to say, I have not been disappointed," she says.

As far as winning a Rising Stars of the Profession award? Delgado says it means "everything." She said she was overwhelmed with pride and honor to receive the award. "This is truly a testimony that the hard work and dedication that I've put towards my career over the past 10 years has been noticed, appreciated and acknowledged in a way that is beyond comprehension," Delgado says.

"This is absolutely the biggest honor I've ever received. It solidifies my resolve to constantly push myself to exceed my clients' expectations. It's a badge of honor, which I will display proudly."
