At this juncture of Joseph Esteves' career, the accomplishment that he's most proud of would be the day he started his current role with Maine Pointe, a purpose driven firm dedicated to delivering compelling economic returns to its clients and its people through accelerated performance improvements in EBITDA, cash and growth.

"In an industry where experience is sometimes associated with years, my experience came in the form of mileage," Esteves says. "It was a significant sense of accomplishment to be offered the role in which I consider my dream job."

Esteves says he is very excited about the journey that he and all of Maine Pointe are on. "Not only do we embody a culture and set of values that clients trust but we have all worked towards development of a framework in which we deliver results," he says. "I firmly believe we have yet to hit the steepest part of our growth curve and I am excited on what the future holds."

Esteves says one of the keys to his success is that he embraces the feeling of being uncomfortable. "The key is to stretch yourself more and more every year and the challenge is to get past that initial feeling of wanting to return to the norm," he says. "Growth only occurs in a state of discomfort. Maine Pointe's commitment to its people enables us to pursue individual development and success, while achieving a balance between health, family, spiritual and professional goals."

When it comes to advice, he says he turns to the "5 P's" as prescribed by Steve Bowen, Founder & CEO of Maine Pointe: Plenty of Professionally Planned Persistence Pays. "This advice has been applied to many facets of my professional life," he says.

Esteves says the Rising Star award means a great deal to him personally. "I am honored and excited to be recognized for my work."
