Throughout his career, Timothy Yoo has accepted challenges, taken them head on and advanced to new positions that require more responsibilty. Case in point—Yoo started as a Manager with the Hacket Group over 12 years ago and is now a Practice Lead and the head of the the firm's New York office.
"I've continued to be a leader in our organization," Yoo says. "I was responsible for building and leading our eProcurement Implementation Practice that has grown significantly—over 50 percent—in the past 12 months."
Yoo is the Head of Hackett's New York office and Lead of Hackett's EProcurement Practice. He is Coupa and Ariba Certified and head of recruitment for Strategy and Operation North America. Yoo has proven experience in leading client engagements, project management and general client delivery.
"This is a relationship business and I've continued to focus on building strong and long lasting relationships internally with staff and peers, and with my clients," he says. "I enjoy having the ability to constantly learn and overcome new challenges each day. I'm also motivated by my clients and making sure we live up to our promises to them.
Yoo has consulting business development experience with proven success in growing a professional services business with Fortune 500 clients. Yoo is: able to manage multiple priorities including multiple projects and job functions; motivator, team-builder, with excellent communications and interpersonal skill; procurement outsourcing advisory, procure to pay process, strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, eprocurement; and, general Management Consulting, Change Management, Operations Improvement.
He specializes in Strategy and Operations, Operational Efficiency, Procurement Strategy, Procurement Transformation, Strategic Sourcing, Outsourcing Advisory, Inventory Optimization, Program and Project Management.

Q&A: What does being recognized as a Global Leader in Consulting mean to you? Your firm? Your clients?
Yoo: I'm flattered that someone would consider me to be a Global Leader and recommend me. This is a special recognition for my entire firm as I've only been successful because of the people that I work with. Our clients have been and continue to be the inspiration behind the hard work and success for The Hackett Group.
