Matthew Tuttle is the Vice President Global Sales, Architecture & Advisory Services for Cognizant. His responsibilities include overseeing the Global Sales, Advisory and Consulting organization, which includes Sales, PreSales and Architecture. Matt provides leadership for both Cognizant and Fortune 500 clients for security Advisory, Transformation and Operations services related to IAM, Cloud Security, NexGen Technologies and GRC. 

"At Cognizant, we were able to launch a new Global Advisory Practice from zero resources to nearly 30 and delivered over $10 million in revenue and pulled through nearly $15 million of additional core Cognizant services," Tuttle says.  

Previously, Tuttle was the Vice President of Professional Services for Coalfire Systems. His responsibilities include managing and growing the consulting practice, delivering security and audit services to Coalfire clients and providing leadership within the firm for operations and services related to PCI, FedRAMP, FISMA, HiTrust, HIPAA, GLBA and many other security services. Prior to Coalfire, Matt was Vice President World-wide Professional Services at Equinix where he oversaw the overall strategic direction of a professional services organization within the company. 

Tuttle was appointed to acting CEO of Nimbo, Equinix's first professional services acquisition, a MSFT and AWS Cloud consulting and managed services company.  In his first quarter leading the organization he contributed to transforming the business model and establishing sales engagement and alignment methodologies. As a result, Nimbo achieved record quarterly sales and revenue results.

For seven years, Matt  was Vice President, Global Consulting & Integration Services at Verizon.  He was responsible for the overall management, strategic direction and planning for Verizon's Global Consulting and Professional Services practices, including Security,  Cloud, IT Advisory, Communications, Network, Governance Risk Compliance, PCI, Mobility, M2M and Identity Privacy and Access Management. In his current role he was responsible for over 700 billable Consultants, Analysts and Engineers. Matt manages nearly $300 million in consulting revenue and is responsible for over $1 billion in Cloud, Security and Network pull-through business.

"While at Verizon we were able to grow our consulting and professional services organization from 125 resources to nearly 800 in three years," Tuttle says. "During this time we also were able to keep attrition below 3 percent."

What motivates him to excel? 

"People. Whether it be helping clients who are struggling with technology or business decisions or are looking for new innovated solutions," he says. "Also ensuring the consultants that join the team have clear career paths and become self-motivated. Seeing clients and team excel motivates me to excel."

Q&A:  What does being recognized as a Global Leader in Consulting mean to you? Your firm? Your clients?

Tuttle: For me it is a great honor not only being nominated by my colleagues but selected after many yeasr of hard work and dedication in a field I love and have been a part of for over 20 years.
