The Global Leaders in Consulting: Anthony Binge

Since returning to Jacksonville, Fla. and taking on his current role in 2016, Binge has helped grow the organization more than 60 percent and laid a foundation for transforming the delivery of HCI's healthcare technology services. 

Ask him what he's most proud of over the course of the last 12 months and over the course of his entire career, he says: "The 250 percent growth of business-to-business consulting revenue, as well as being the team lead for winning bid supporting Veterans Affairs EHRS PMO contract in partnership with Booz Allen Hamilton," he says. 

In addition, "growing HCI Group global reach from U.S.-only operations to four continents and 17 countries within a four-year time span."

Previously, Binge served as international leader of HCI based in London, UK, growing the HCI footprint from just two countries of operation to 18 countries across four continents in a five-year period. Throughout the acquisition of HCI by the global digital transformation firm Tech Mahindra, Binge has helped shape the vision for HCI's technology services.

Binge says that helping organizations build well equipped teams to achieve unique strategic and operational goals that stretch beyond country borders and cultural norms is what he enjoys most about the work he's doing. 

What's been the biggest factor to his success? 

"Calm, level-headed logic combined with creative and strategic risk taking, as well as a positive mental attitude, strong mentors and brilliant co-workers."

However, it's his family, friends  and colleagues who motivate him to excel in the profession, as well as "the desire to leave the world in a better place than when I entered it," he says. 

Q&A: What does being recognized as a Global Leader in Consulting mean to you? Your firm? Your clients?

Binge: Being recognized as a Global Leader in Consulting is personal encouragement to continue creating a smarter approach to Healthcare IT. Digital transformation is not new to the industry, but the evolution of the tools used has increased exponentially. Being on the cutting edge of transformation and helping lead a company dedicated to enabling healthcare organizations of today to provide better, faster, more efficient care to patients all over the world is a strong motivator.
