Excellence in Client Service

After receiving her chemical engineering and biology degrees at Princeton, Jessica Jarvis figured her next logical step was a job in the healthcare space. She interviewed with all the major pharmaceutical companies, and it was during this process that she stumbled upon ZS. "The more I learned about ZS, the more I was impressed by its breadth of capabilities, particularly its credentials in the healthcare industry, Jarvis says. "ZS offered a dynamic and collaborative environment to work and grow in—an encouraging shift from the life I had known in the lab."

But even more than ZS's expertise and industry reputation, she was drawn to the people. While ZSers come from all backgrounds and experiences, they share a few common characteristics. They challenge conventional thinking, are laser-focused on delivering one-of-a-kind solutions to clients and have a lot of fun solving tough problems together.

"I took a chance when I gave the consulting world a shot, and I got lucky with ZS," Jarvis says. "After 17 years, I'm as energized as ever to work shoulder-to-shoulder with clients at the world's top organizations as we help transform the way they engage with their customers and help them deliver life-changing medications to their patients."

Today, Jarvis is a Principal and a Client Service Lead dedicating most of her time to ensuring one of ZS' biggest clients receives best-in-class strategy, analytics, operations and technology services. During 10-plus years working with her current client, Jarvis has developed an expertise in the business.

Jarvis says she is most proud of earning a position on ZS's Client Service Council—a team of four principals that help facilitate best practice sharing among the top client accounts. "That role fits with what I am most passionate about, and what I feel I'm best at—collaborating with colleagues, building relationships with clients and adopting innovative techniques to solve new problems," she says. "Our client service leads at ZS are among the most talented consultants with whom I have engaged, and it's an honor to see what they do firsthand. Over the past two years of being a part of this council, we've had a lot of successes with account teams implementing this bold approach to continuous innovation."

Jarvis says she's gained a true appreciation for consulting and all that comes with it—it's enabled her to work in an atmosphere of continuous innovation. "Whether contributing to the professional and personal growth of my team members or cultivating strong relationships with my clients to ensure mutual success, I'm motivated each day by the connections I've made to the people I work with," she says.

Q&A: What does winning the Women Leaders in Consulting award mean to you?

Jarvis: "This award is an acknowledgment of the passion and enthusiasm I have for the work I do and the clients I see as my partners and collaborators. It's also an opportunity to celebrate with the ZS team who works shoulder-to-shoulder with me to deliver meaningful, valuable solutions that help our clients and their customers thrive. I'm thrilled. It's an honor to rank on a list among such talented and inspiring individuals."
