The 2018 Rising Stars of the Profession: Kyle Mandala

Throughout his tenure at RSM, Kyle Mandala has been fortunate to be part of several significant milestones in RSM's growth in the West Region. "I am proud that I have been able to grow my career and actively contribute to the recent success of the practice," Mandala says. "Having become a member of the practice's management team, I am ecstatic to have excelled among industry-leading colleagues who are each great in their own right. Each client engagement presents a unique opportunity to serve our clients as a trusted advisor and achieve tremendous results."

RSM has provided Mandala with the opportunity to lead various directives, he says. Recently, he was selected to lead the West Region technology practice for the new ASC 606 codification. "Being part of this directive is an accomplishment that has allowed me to work alongside talented peers and represent RSM at numerous speaking engagements," he says. "In addition, as the first direct-college hire for RSM in the west region technology practice, I am proud of my involvement in the creation and expansion of the technical training program for college hires. The exceptionally high-level of talent that RSM is able to attract and retain due to its outstanding company culture consistently amazes me."

Mandala says consulting, and more specifically his consulting career at RSM, has been one of the biggest blessings of his life. "Every day I have the ability to assist clients as a trusted advisor in determining the path forward in business decisions," he says. "Within each of these initiatives are tasks that provide an innate opportunity to provide leadership, mentor team members, and expand my professional horizon."

Meanwhile, a Rising Star award exemplifies "the exceptional practice that we have built as a management team, as well as the impressive executive leadership we have in place," he says.
