Relentless pursuit of excellent client service is how colleagues describe Maryam Naderi's work ethic.
Naderi, who is focused on the energy sector, has risen quickly through the ranks at Alvarez & Marsal—progressing from Consultant to Senior Director—in record time.
One thing Naderi says she loves about the consulting profession is that she never quite knows where it will take her. While she was undoubtedly talking about stretching herself professionally, she might as well have been talking figuratively because consulting took her to Angola.
Her recent work highlighting her outstanding client service includes establishing an office in Luanda, Angola for an emerging E&P client. Naderi jumped at the chance to work in a dynamic environment, in one of the most rapidly changing cities in the world. From the beginning, she was traveling to Angola regularly, even spending holidays to meet deadlines.
Her dedication paid off not only in the successful office launch, but also by helping her find a new passion. She's leveraged the relationships she built in Angola and has continued to assist companies in building their HR function to focus on professional development.
