Since joining TriVista in 2012, Kevin Havel has worked on and led more than 20 engagements across a wide industry spectrum and has contributed to significant working capital and operational improvements for clients.
Ask him what he likes most about consulting and he'll say the variety of projects, people and the challenges of each project. "I've done everything including lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, inventory management, lean six sigma training, M&A advisory, and factory brownfields," says Havel. "I enjoy engaging with people to help drive operational improvement. I work to solve client's largest problems and the complexity and variety of each problem, process, and solution makes the improvement so much more rewarding."
Another key aspect of the profession and his success is getting to work with and learn from so many great coworkers. "As I'm on the road frequently, working with a few coworkers provides an opportunity to learn and imitate people with 20 years of experience," Havel says. "Furthermore, I have been given great opportunities at TriVista to help lead engagements and I have enjoyed the opportunity and challenges provided to me."
Havel's primarily supported projects focused on improving efficiencies within a company's operations, such as S&OP, lean manufacturing, and financial modeling. Recent project experience includes working with a client to reduce backorders by 99 percent and increase on-time delivery from 10 percent to 99 percent in a six-month time period.
As for the winning the award, Havel says he is "honored and excited to be chosen out of an exceptional field of candidates validates the work that I've done so far and the direction that I'm pursuing."
