Courtney Ramey, an Executive Director with Jabian, says there are many exciting things about being a consultant; but she says having the opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders and being trusted to help them solve their most challenging problems excites her the most.
Ramey was hand-selected by Jabian's founding partners to pioneer and lead the Charlotte, N.C. office. In just under two years, she has grown the office into one of the firm's major success stories.
In fact, she lists that accomplishment—aside from being a mom to her two children—as the achievement of which she's most proud.
"I am sincerely proud of my role as the Charlotte office leader and the difference that we make for our clients, the opportunities we give employees, and the impact we have in the community," Ramey says.
"The biggest factor to my success so far is a combination of opportunity, hard work, and amazing people. Jabian is made up of brilliant, caring people who consistently challenge me to be my best."
Ramey was selected to participate in Leadership Charlotte, a local professional development program. She also was recently named a local Rising Star in Charlotte.
As far as being named a Rising Star of the Profession, Ramey says she is "honored and humbled" by the recognition. "There are not enough words to express how thankful I am for all of the support I've received from mentors, bosses, co-workers, clients, community leaders, family, and friends," she says. "Winning this award motivates me to pay it forward and share the inspiration and support I have received throughout my career with others."
