Prior to consulting, Anne Denney Cantey was able to build out an individual donor program at a nonprofit, which she says has helped her succeed in her current role.
"While working at OpenSymmetry, I not only managed a variety of projects from SMB to enterprise multi-national projects, I was responsible for developing a unique sales performance management project management methodology toolkit with a team, which is still in place today," she says. "I also owe my accomplishments to having a personal connection with customers."
Colleagues say Cantey's ability to take a technical project and apply it to a business need has helped her achieve a 100 percent success rate on her projects, as well as very high customer satisfaction ratings.
Since joining OpenSymmetry in 2012, she started as a project manager and quickly was promoted to senior project manager and then practice manager. Cantey has worked on approximately 30 projects, starting in SMB and moved her way up to the enterprise level, where she managed seven or eight different accounts at a time, all within different industries.
Pretty impressive, considering Cantey isn't even eligible to be considered a thirty-something yet.
"I found my tribe at OpenSymmetry," Cantey says. "The new things I'll learn and the challenges I'll face both provide me energy and encouragement with professional growth. The opportunities to enable clients to define and find success, and the ability to help support, encourage and mentor other professionals to become their best. The biggest factor to my success so far is the mentorship from other professionals I admire/respect, and relentless drive to continually improve upon my strengths."
