KPMG has named Stephen N. Chase as U.S. Management Consulting leader of the firm's Advisory practice.
Chase currently serves as a principal in KPMG's Advisory practice and leads its Management Consulting Technology services and Technology Enablement service network. He has more than 20 years of management consulting and technology experience focusing primarily on driving technology-enabled business transformation in technology, retail, finance, supply chain and other sectors. He succeeds Stephen C. Lis, who is leaving his Management Consulting position as part of a long-planned succession transition.
"Steve Chase brings unique insights on technology and an outstanding track record of capitalizing on marketplace disruptions that consistently helps our clients succeed," said Lynne Doughtie, KPMG vice chair, Advisory. "These traits make him ideally suited to assume this important leadership role in this crucial part of our Advisory business."
KPMG Advisory's Management Consulting Service Group helps clients drive business performance and lead change in the face of unprecedented disruption from increased regulation, greater competition, expanding markets and digital and technology advances.
"I'm excited to move into this position at a time when our investments in technology and acquisitions for our management consulting business are paying dividends and driving unprecedented growth," Chase said. "We are extremely well-positioned to advise our clients on integrated business transformation – and how to best capitalize on disruptions in the marketplace to help them deliver the most engaging experiences to their customers."
The firm also announced that S. Singh Mecker, currently a KPMG principal and the firm's Global Alliance Leader, will take on the additional role of head of U.S. Advisory Innovation. Mecker succeeds Stephen Hasty, who was recently appointed KPMG's Global Head of Transformation.
