Two Consulting awards in a matter of a few months for Vynamic, a 50-person multi-service healthcare firm based in Philadelphia. In March, Vynamic was named one of Consulting's Seven Small Jewels, and now the firm makes its first appearance on our annual Best Small Firms to Work For list at No. 4.
That's a "big cause for celebration," according to Dan Calista, Founder and CEO of Vynamic. "We were founded on the premise that we believe there is a better way," Calista says. "[This] distinction validates that we are on the right path."
At Vynamic, that path clearly leads straight back to its own people. "Vynamic invests in people," Calista says. "We have found having the best talent results in higher business performance. We invest heavily in training programs and other areas to make sure our team has the tools to be successful."
It's no surprise, then, that Vynamic scored near the top of the survey in terms of Career Development. The investment the firm makes is crucial, Calista says, since Vynamic is working to lead the transformation of the healthcare sector. "We'll do that by continuing to hire the best talent and collaborating with leading companies in the healthcare industry," he says.
The other survey strong point—Work/Life Balance—is central to Vynamic's long-term success. "The consulting industry is sometimes known for its unhealthy business model—long hours, employee burnout, and high stress," Calista says. "Vynamic challenges the generally accepted norms of the industry."
And it sure is working. Vynamic has experienced double-digit growth in both revenue and headcount every year since launching in 2002. "When you get the right people together at the right time, big things happen."
