Over the last three years, healthcare IT firm Impact Advisors has placed either No. 1 or No. 2 on Consulting 's annual Best Small Firms to Work For list. And this year is no different.
"Our employees and clients are aware of our constant commitment to quality and excellence in everything that we do; having the distinguished honor of being named a Best Small Firm to Work For is reinforcement that this commitment is recognized and appreciated," says Michael Nutter, Director of Firm Culture & Associate Satisfaction.
And with a title like that, it is obvious that Nutter would closely monitor the morale at the 84-consultant firm. "Employee morale is exceptionally high," he says.
And Nutter plans on keeping it that way. Earlier this year, Impact allocated a resource—a "happiologist"—who is responsible for ensuring satisfaction and engagement at multiple levels within the firm.
In addition, the firm's High Impact Awards recognition program, which offers $50 rewards to teammates for a job well done, is wildly successful and extremely popular with current employees.
But Nutter also is keenly focused on future employees, as well. "We will continue to focus on recruiting the best talent and growing our Associates," he says. "With a strong emphasis on professional development planning and monitoring, each team member is entitled to ongoing growth opportunities."
And Impact Advisors will need all the talent it can muster as it tackles one of healthcare's biggest challenges—moving from paper-based health records to electronic ones.
"There is tremendous value in this technology which presents multiple opportunities for us to play a vital role with our clients in navigating the transformation journey," he says.
