At a recent cocktail party, A.T. Kearney CEO Paul Laudicina pulled a card from his pocket in response to a visitor's question on ethics in consulting. The glossy laminated tri-fold—he carried several in his wallet— contained a creed superimposed over a picture of the firm's founder, Andrew Thomas Kearney. The card also included a matrix that mapped ATK's values against clients, consultants, and the community. Embedded in its elaborate design was a core message: "integrity."
It's impressive—and telling—when the head of one of the world's best-known strategy firms carries the firm's values next to his own money.
