Authors Eric Berridge and Michael Kirven have taken the lessons they've learned running consultancy Bluewolf and have developed a new consulting model, which they refer to as Consulting 2.0. Though Agile is a word all abuzz in the consulting industry, the duo's take on the core concept is that it means focusing on three main principles in relation to software implementation: translate, transform and transcend. The authors, who specialize in cloud computing, open source and software-as-a-service solutions, developed principles and rules to help ensure client success—and with the rate IT projects go bust, perhaps software-focused engagements need all the rules they can get.
