Unisys recently released research it conducted in September regarding Americans' top concerns. According to the information technology's Unisys Security Index, only 21 percent of Americans reported being extremely concerned about meeting financial obligations, demonstrating what it calls a "misplaced complacency before the impending economic crisis." Instead, national security topped the list—65 percent cited terrorism as their top worry. Americans also cited identity theft and other computer-related issues, such as viruses and personal data breaches, as concerns in the index, which is conducted biannually.
