Effective Jan. 1, 2009, Rick Wise will assume the role of CEO at Lippincott, a New York-headquartered brand strategy and design consultancy that falls under the umbrella of the Oliver Wyman Group. Wise, according to the firm, is a 20-year brand-consulting veteran whose tenure with Lippincott includes roles as senior partner and head of Lippincott's brand strategy practice.

Wise replaces Ken Roberts, who has held the CEO title at the firm for 15 years.

"Rick has proven to be a capable and charismatic leader, and has demonstrated a significant ability to elicit the most creative and effective solutions for the most difficult brand challenges," said John Drzik, president of Oliver Wyman Group. "He represents Lippincott's ability to leverage both its award-winning design capabilities and rigorous brand strategy techniques in ways that deliver measurable results for its clients in any economic environment."

Lippincott works with companies that represent a broad range of industries. Recent clients, according to the firm, include American Express, Citigroup, Delta Air Lines, ExxonMobil, IBM, Mashreq, McDonald's, Nissan, Samsung, Sprint, Vale and Walmart.
