McLean, Va.-based consultancy BearingPoint has released its 2008 third quarter report. According to the firm, gross revenue totaled $801 million, which was a 7.1 percent decrease compared to the same quarter in 2007, and net revenue for Q3 2008 decreased 4.5 percent from Q3 2007. The firm also reported that billable headcount now stands at 13,100, which 10 percent lower than where it was during the third quarter of 2007. Voluntary attrition for the two timeframes are 25.4 percent and 26.6 percent, the latter representing the 2007 figure.

However, in 2008′s third quarter, the firm won new business with Time Warner and a number of government agencies.

In addition, according to published reports, BearingPoint also has named a new CFO. Kenneth A. Hiltz, a managing director at AlixPartners, succeeds Eddie Munson. BearingPoint retained the financial services firm in October to aid in its 2009 plans.
