Jennifer Visick Before work, Booz Allen Hamilton consultant Jennifer Visick, like many active professionals, goes for a run. But she and some others have turned exercise into something more with what they call Slipper Camp.  Visick, who lives in Washington, D.C., calls the gathering of women who meet to exercise and socialize, "a nice way to start the day."

Consulting: How did Slipper Camp start?

Visick: It started out as a bunch of friends. We had done some other organized things that we had to pay for [and] thought, "You know, we could probably do this ourselves and have a lot more fun." There are probably twenty or twenty-five women altogether, and on any given day we probably get six to ten; on weekends, we usually get fifteen. Usually somebody leads. I'm the drill sergeant on Saturdays because I feel like we need to do something really hard one day a week. So we do running and plyometrics and other stuff. And we really have become good friends, too.
