The 2008 Best Small Firms to Work For: SEI (No. 2)

SEI was founded in 1992 and does advisory work in the areas of organizational change management, project management, technical architecture, design, development and implementation specifically related to business intelligence and business optimization around its 38 consultants' core competencies: business acumen and technical expertise. Each of the five SEI locations is its own LLC. In our survey, SEI ranked second of all small firms in the areas of Leadership and The Job, third in the area of culture and fourth for compensation and benefits. The survey indicates that resource management is a real strength of the firm. When asked how often the firm matched the right people with the right projects, SEI consultants gave the firm a 4.93 out of possible 5.00. That, of course, leads to SEI meetings its client needs. When asked about that specifically on the survey, the firm received a 4.89 out of 5.00.
