SM&A announced that it has promoted Richard Eassom to Vice President of Knowledge Management, effective December 1, 2006. In addition to his continuing responsibilities for Knowledge Management, Eassom will now be responsible for all project research and reporting.

Eassom has nearly 30 years of experience in proposal management and engineering. He joined SM&A in 1998 as a field proposal manager. He was transferred to SM&A headquarters in 1999 to work on proposal automation tools as Director of Product Development and transitioned to Director of Project Management in 2004. In 2006, he became responsible for SM&A's new Knowledge Management System (KM) software development and implementation. The system went live in August 2006.
