The recent June announcement that CVS has agreed to acquire all of Target's pharmacy operations for $1.9 billion has propelled commentary and speculation about what this move means for other contenders in the pharmacy space, namely Walgreens and Wal-Mart, as the retail pharmacy landscape continues to consolidate.
